Just call me Annika Sorenstam....

I am officially ready to train for the LPGA. Last night I played golf for the 3rd time ever and decided that it was time to start counting my swings. Usually I swing so much I lose track and just have to guess. I'm proud to say I shot a 59. That would be for 9 holes unfortunately, not 18! Coach Chris has his work cut out for him!

More Fun at the Lake this Summer!

Boy are we lucky! Grandma and Grandpa Desper got a new pontoon boat! The kids (and me too!) are looking forward to tubing, cruising the lake, and swimming in the middle of the lake. My prediction for the summer is that one of us will knock the pier out trying to park it...my money is on Grandpa right now...but I haven' t parked it yet!!!

It's official - the last day of school was today and Ry is now a 3rd grader. He had his awards day today and received some awards. He got an attendance award and pin, science fair award and medal, most improved reader award, music skill and effort award, and FAME participation award. Now for the shortest summer break ever....about 9 weeks!

First Communion

I wanted to share a picture of Ryan from the day of his First Communion at our church. He did such a great job. We were so proud of him!

Relay for Life

Last month Kayla and I participated in the Noble County Relay for Life. We had a blast! It was the first time that either of us camped. I was worried about Kayla sleeping all night, it was me I should have worried about! She did fine. Chris and Ryan came over to support us during the Survivor Lap. How lucky I am to be working towards year 7 of survivorship! Kayla is pictured with her friend Emily. They had fun dressing up like Princesses and riding around the track. There definitely needed to be more of a Kendallville presence at the Relay...so be prepared to participate next year!!!

Welcome to my blog!

Wow! We have a blog! I don't hardly even know what that means....but welcome anyway! You all know I like to document life through picture taking and scrapbooking. I think of this blog as just a big scrapbook of our lives that I can share with everyone. I hope that it helps me keep in better touch with friends and family! Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
